Microsoft has confirmed that sales of its Microsoft Band fitness band will expand to Best Buy, Target and Amazon in the US. It will also become available in the UK for the first time on April 15.
Sales of the Microsoft Band will begin immediately for the company's new retail partners. Microsoft also says that customers in its retail stores can expect to see more units available for sale from now on. Supplies of the Microsoft Band have been limited ever since the device launched in November.
Earlier this month, Windows Central broke the story about Best Buy selling the Band.
The biggest change is expanding the market for the Microsoft Band to the UK. Pre-orders begin today for the price of £169.99 on Microsoft's online store in the UK, along with other retail outlets like Amazon, Curry's PC World, Dixons Travel, Harrods, and O2. The Microsoft Band itself goes on sale in the UK on April 15.
Microsoft also plans to issue regular updates to the Microsoft Band in the coming months. The first such big update was released in February.
