Following yesterday's presentation by Microsoft's General Manager of Developer Experience, Bryan Biniak, at the IFA Global Press Conference in Malta, today we've learned that the company will apparently be an exhibitor at the main event this September in Berlin.

And that's pretty huge news.

IFA 2015 will be this years instalment of one of the world's biggest consumer electronics trade shows. If you're not familiar, think of it a little like the CES of Europe. The world's biggest tech companies including the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG come together at Messe Berlin for a week at the beginning of September every year.

Last year, Microsoft launched the Lumia 730/735 and the Lumia 830 in Berlin but at a satellite event without any dedicated show floor presence. In a Q&A session during the Global Press Conference in Malta, IFA executives confirmed that Microsoft would be exhibiting in Berlin but didn't expand to discuss how big the presence may be. The actual question is shown above and wasn't really going to get a response from an industry panel, but we did get some good news out of it.

Either way, it's an exciting development. Given the timing of IFA and everything else going on this year, there's a good chance we could see plenty of news. Whatever happens, we'll be there throughout to bring it all to you.
