Microsoft is making sure consumers know there is a cheap $199 Windows 8.1 notebook they can buy during the current holiday season with a new TV ad that compares the recently launched HP Stream 11 to, and we are not kidding, old-fashioned printed notebooks.
The commercial shows how cluttered and unorganized those old paper notebooks can be compared to working on a notebook that has Office 365 and one 1TB of free OneDrive cloud space for storing holiday photos. It also mentions using OneNote on the Stream 11 to sync up holiday shopping lists from a user's smartphone.
Is comparing a $199 notebook to cheap, but still old-fashioned, paper notebooks a fair one for Microsoft and HP to make?
