Microsoft's latest financial numbers revealed that 22.2 million consumers have now subscribed to its Office 365 service.
The updated Office 365 numbers in Microsoft's financial numbers for its third fiscal quarter of 2016 are up compared to 20.6 million subscribers in the last quarter and well ahead of the 12.4 million subscriber level in the same quarter in 2015.
Overall, Microsoft said its Office consumer products and cloud services revenue grew by 6% in constant currency. On the commercial side, it stated that Office and cloude revenues went up by 7%. During its Build 2016 conference in March, Microsoft said there were currently 60 million commercial Office 365 users, and that there were 1.2 billion people around the world using some kind of Office software.
