Microsoft has rolled out a firmware update for the Surface 3 tablet. Dated for February 4, this release includes three patches for the popular Windows 10 PC. The company has only just started the roll out, so don't freak out should you not yet have the notification on your Surface.
According to the log of changes, here's what we're looking at:
- Surface UEFI update (v1.51116.78.0) - recalibrates touch panel.
- Surface Touch Controller Firmware update (v184.108.40.206) - recalibrates touch panel.
- Surface Platform Power Driver update (v220.127.116.11) - improves charging.
To see if you have the update available (as well as general Windows updates), head to the Settings app > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. As noted already, this February firmware release may take some time to hit your Surface 3.
