Microsoft Solitaire Collection for Windows 8.1 adds 25th Anniversary challenges

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced it would celebrate the 25th anniversary of adding the free Solitare game to Windows 3.0 with a Microsoft Solitaire Collection tournament. Now, the Windows 8.1 version of the game has added the 25th Anniversary Star Club Collection, which has all of the challenges of the recent tournament.

Microsoft has also announced a contest for US residents centering on that new Star Club collection:

" In addition to the new Star Club collection, we will be giving away $25 Microsoft Digital Gift Codes to the first 250 people that can prove they have completed the 25th Anniversary Tournament Star Club collection! To submit an entry, you will need to complete ALL the challenges in the 25th Anniversary Star Club Tournament collection in Microsoft Solitaire Collection on Windows 8 or Windows 8.1."" Once you have completed all the challenges, take a selfie (a picture with your camera or phone) of the screen showing crowns on all 3 packs (Qualifiers, Semifinals, and Finals) AND a piece of paper where you've hand-written the current date and your Xbox Gamertag. Then post the selfie as a comment on this post OR on our wall."

The official rules can be read at the game's official Facebook page.
