The 5-inch 720x1280 smartphone previously launched on AT&T in November for $99 with a two-year agreement but now you can get an unlocked version of the phone without that pesky wireless contract stuff. The phone has a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 10MP rear camera and a 0.9MP front facing camera.
Of course, the devil is in the details, specifically those carrier bands. For this specific device, we are looking at the following:
- LTE: 2, 4, 5, 17; WCDMA: 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100; GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900
For T-Mobile users, you will be able to get 3G speeds but no LTE. Verizon and Sprint are also out as this phone does not support CDMA for voice. Instead, like all unlocked phones in the US, this will have tradeoffs for which network you use it on. Make sure you check with your carrier first for compatibility.
