Microsoft surprises us again with Windows 10 PC build 10162 release to Fast ring members

Microsoft is not wasting time launching yet another build of Windows 10 on the PC to Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring. The company is now rolling out build 10162 to those members, which is the third build released on the Fast Ring in four days.

Microsoft Insider lead Gabriel Aul states:

"We just released Build 10159 with our new wallpaper and logon UI on Tuesday, but this is a holiday weekend in the US and we thought that some of you might want to get an even fresher build on your PCs to play with over the long weekend. Build 10162 is another great one. In fact, our testing and internal telemetry metrics show it has better reliability, performance, battery life, and compatibility than any Windows 10 Insider Preview build so far."

Aul adds that build 10162 is looking like it will be released to Slow ring members sometime next week, along with ISO files as well. Microsoft is set to launch Windows 10 starting on July 29 for Windows Insider members first, and will then expand that launch to other people who have reserved their Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs to get the free update.
