Microsoft threw a late Windows 10 launch party in Redmond with Macklemore concert

While Microsoft held a number of Windows 10 launch events around the world on July 29, the company itself waited until Monday to hold its own celebration for the release of its OS at its Redmond, Washington headquarters.

As reported by GeekWire, a number of Microsoft employees, used Twitter to post up images and video clips from the company event. The event featured a free performance from rap stars Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who are based in neighboring Seattle. Indeed, the Macklemore song "Can't Hold Us" was used in 2013 by Microsoft as the TV commercial theme song for the launch of its Outlook.com email service.

Of course, we are sure that today everyone in Redmond is going back to work on updates for Windows 10 as well as working on the upcoming launch of Windows 10 Mobile and the big Xbox One-Windows 10 dashboard update.
