Microsoft has decided to not to have an exhibit at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan to promote the Xbox One. However, the company will be holding some kind of Xbox fan event in that country sometime in October.
Microsoft made the announcements at a press conference today, according to Game Watch (via DualShockers). This will be the second year in a row that Microsoft has bypassed exhibiting at the big Toyko Game Show, which will be held this year on September 17-18.
It's not that big of a shock to learn Microsoft will pass on this trade show, as the Xbox One has seen sluggish sales in Japan to say the least. The company also decided not to hold its traditional media event at Gamescom in Germany later this month, although they will still be exhibiting and showing off games on its show floor.
