Microsoft has released a new update for its recently launched photo sharing app XIM. The update allows the app to be downloaded and used worldwide for the first time instead of just in the US.

The new 1.2.1 version also adds voice verification to the app in addition to SMS, along with some unnamed bug fixes. Just a reminder, XIM comes from Microsoft Reseach's FUSE Labs and allows users to share photos with nearby friends and lets everyone browse through those images at the same time.

Have you downloaded XIM yet and if so, what's your experience been like with the app?
