Microsoft has offered us a stealth launch today of its new Mobile Devices website, which only has information and images of the products that were originally made, or conceived by, Nokia's former Devices and Services division which Microsoft acquired earlier this year.
The site, which we noted earlier this morning is the new location for the Lumia support page, lists the many Lumia Windows Phone smartphones, along with the Android-based Nokia X and the Asha feature phones and their accessories. It also lists the Nokia 2520 10.1-inch tablet that uses Windows RT.
The site does not list Microsoft's Surface tablets, nor does it have information on any third party Windows Phone products. The website seems to be devoted just to the products created formerly by Nokia. This would seem to lend even more credence to the rumors that Microsoft plans to ditch the Nokia branding completely for its phones in the very near future.
What do you think of this transition that will eventually see Microsoft get rid of the Nokia brand?
