The upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X will bring one of the biggest horror movie characters of all time in its character lineup. Developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive announced today (naturally) that Jason Voorhees, the central mass murderer in the Friday the 13th franchise, will be a playable fighter in the game, coming to the Xbox One and Xbox 360, via an upcoming DLC pack.

Jason, with his trademark machete and his hockey mask, will be one of four characters included in Mortal Kombat X's post-release Kombat Pack. The other three characters have yet to be announced but at least one or two of them have appeared in previous games in the series.

The game is scheduled for release on the Xbox One April 14. However, the Xbox 360 version, which is being developed by High Voltage Software, has been delayed and will now be released sometime later this summer, according to what Warner Bros. Interactive told GameSpot.
