Windows 10

With the free Windows 10 upgrade now rolling out to the first Windows 7 and 8.1 users, some PC owners might be concerned that the upgrade won't work, or if they might lose some data or content in the transition. If you are in that category, you may be interested in a new offer from software company Acronis, which has a special flash price for its True Image Unlimited PC backup service. The special price is for $47.99 for the first year, which will allow users to perform backups on three PCs, a big discount compared to its normal $129.99 price.

The service has a major fan in Windows Central Editor-in-Chief Daniel Rubino. Here's what you get:

"Back up an image of your entire PC with everything on it to the cloud and to local storage devices to get double the protection. Acronis True Image Cloud Unlimited offers just that: unlimited cloud backup so your data will never be lost or corrupted. If necessary, you can restore your entire computer to the exact previous state in minutes, without the need to reconfigure your computer or reinstall applications."

Be aware this is a flash sale and will end in less than 24 hours. However, Acronis will still cut the price of its True Image Unlimited service by 25%. This offer ends on August 17.
