New cumulative update for Windows 10 packs Windows Store fix, more

For the second time since Patch Tuesday, Microsoft is releasing a new cumulative update for Windows 10 users. The latest for Anniversary Update (1607) users ticks the build number up to 14393.970 and simply includes a pair of fixes for Windows Store errors and an Internet Explorer 11 bug.

Here's a look at what's new in cumulative update 14393.970 (KB4016635) (via Neowin):

  • Addressed a known issue with KB4013429 that caused form display issues with CRM 2011 on Internet Explorer 11.
  • Addressed the issue with KB4013429 that prevents users from updating apps from Windows Store with 0x80070216 error.

In addition to Anniversary Update users, Microsoft has also pushed out a small cumulative update to anyone still on the original Windows 10 release version, 1507. At build number 10240.17320 (KB4016637), the update simply addresses the same Internet Explorer 11 issue seen in the notes above.

We haven't seen the latest update land just yet via Windows Update, but their presence on Microsoft's support site indicates that they should be rolling out relatively soon. Have you seen the updates land on your machine yet? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
