Microsoft has officially introduced the brand new Microsoft Band at its #Windows10Devices event in New York City and as previously rumored, this time it's curved with metal accents. Visually, it's got a more stylish look for sure than its predecessor.
The metal wraps around the back of the Band, there are no corners on it and round the front we've got Corning Gorilla Glass 3. That's great news for anyone who struggled with keeping their original Band looking its best.
Underneath that Gorilla Glass is an OLED display that Microsoft says is more responsive to the touch than its predecessor. Inside there are sensors for GPS, UV monitoring, sleep tracking, calorie tracking, guided workouts, smart notifications and a barometer for tracking elevation changes.
And of course, we've got Cortana integration again, including the ability to reschedule any appointments you may have missed.
New partnerships were also announced for the new Microsoft Band, including Uber and Lose It. It'll cost $249 and will be available to pre-order later today. It'll be shipping on October 30.
