Owners of older Windows Phone devices have been waiting patiently for the promised over-the-air update to Windows 10 Mobile. A new report claims that this update is coming sometime later in March.

According to VentureBeat's Evan "@evleaks" Blass:

" In an email to partners, seen by VentureBeat, Microsoft is now targeting a release this month, to occur after the regular monthly service updates for the two Windows 10-powered handsets already on the market, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL."

The report adds that the update, when released, will be available to download manually for older phones but the company will "begin actively pushing the new firmware to eligible devices" at some point in the future. Keep in mind this report is unconfirmed and, even if it is accurate, it's possible that the schedule for this update could change.
