Microsoft is scheduled to begin rolling out the New Xbox One Experience update to all owners of the Xbox One console on Thursday, November 12. However, that update has been tested for a number of weeks by members of the Xbox One preview program. Now it looks like they will be getting something extra for their efforts.
In a Twitter post, Microsoft's Mike Ybarra, the Director of Program Management at Xbox, was asked by a fan if Xbox Preview members might be able to "snag a taste" of the update's backward compatibility feature early. Ybarra replied:
"No. But we might have something in store for Preview folks who helped us so much."
Microsoft has offered freebies to select Xbox One owners in the past. People who bought the console during its 2013 launch period got a free game, Limbo, to celebrate the Xbox One's first anniversary in late 2014.
