A bug squashing Xbox One Preview build should be heading out to testers very soon

There is nothing especially juicy about this latest build, bringing some fixes to the Universal Store, issues with signing in and a crash associated with the Universal Weather app.

To check if you can download the latest update, double-tap the Xbox button, go down to All Settings, select System, then Console System & Updates, and it will tell you there if the update is available.

The patch details are as follows:

DETAILSOS version released: rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160812-1642Available: 6:00PM PDT 8/14 (1:00 AM GMT 15/8)FIXESXbox Universal Store- Fixed an issue which required users to click twice on the buy button.- Resolved an issue where some users were experiencing Store crashes.Sign In- Resolved an issue that was preventing some users from being able to sign in.My Games & Apps- Resolved an issue which could sometimes cause a black screen to appear when attempting to use the Weather App.

The Xbox One Summer Update might be available to the public, but Microsoft is still delivering extra polish to those of us in the Xbox One Preview. Revamping the entire ecosystem with the Universal Windows Platform has doubtless caused some growing pains across the Windows 10 device family, but the benefits for the Xbox One will be huge in the coming months and years ahead.
