NFL Mobile app updated, Fantasy Football features fixed

NFL Mobile

NFL Mobile is a feature rich Windows Phone 8 app designed to keep you up to date with all the Pro Football action. One of the key features for NFL Mobile is the ability to manage your NFL.com fantasy football teams directly from your Windows Phone.

The app was recently updated to version 8.1.0.12 and while there's not an official change log, our tipsters are pointing to fixes with the Fantasy Football features that were a little buggy on release.  It is our understanding that the update now fixes bugs that prevented you from switching players, managing lineups and held back other key Fantasy Football features.

Oddly, none of the Windows Phone Central staff are fantasy football aficionados so we can't comment directly on whether or not the update rights everything.  If you've updated NFL Mobile and seen an improvement with respect to the fantasy football features, let us know in the comments below.

If you haven't tried NFL Mobile, it is a free app for your Windows Phone 8 device that you can score here in the Windows Phone Store.

Thanks, Jonathan, for the tip!

It's not the same "huge in every page" presence. Still kinda lame that they won't take subscription money from non-Verizon using, NFL fans.

Go Lions! :)

It's nice to see them responding to feedback and fixing the app in a short period of time. I had half-expected them to ignore it all season. That said, it's still a mostly web-based version, so here's hoping they make it right in the future.

I expect that the NFL Fantasy app will be updated to a fully native version soon, because the Windows 8 version of the app is already fully native, so it will be a relatively easy port.

Still can't understand why you insist calling it "football". The amount of time they actually use their feet to kick the ball, is less than the number of seconds that there was cgi dinosaurs in the first "Jurassic Park". ;)

It's called football because you advance the ball on foot. Just like rugby football, as"soc"iation football (aka soccer), Gaelic football, Aussie rules football, etc.

Design sucks on the app. Scrolling area is like an inch tall. I hate how WP apps sometimes don't utilize the entire screen.
