If you have a Nokia Lumia 925 (or someone with a Lumia 1020, we suppose) you may want to check to see if your Smart Cam app has an update. Today, version 18.104.22.168 came out, a bump up from 22.214.171.124 a few weeks back.
The update has no changelog, or rather, it’s the same as the previous one meaning this is most likely some last minute compatibility updates for the upcoming Lumia 1020 or other bug fixes.
Nokia Smart Cam is their latest photography app that allows users to blur backgrounds, take “action shots” with a strobe effect, change faces and best shot via shooting a sequence of photos, rapid fire. With all of that data, the app can then find the best shot, or allow more sophisticated editing with the onboard selection.
Currently, Nokia Smart Cam is only available on the Lumia 925 because it requires the Amber firmware update. Amber will be on board the Lumia 1020 when it launches later this week and other Windows Phone 8 Lumias will be getting it later this summer.
