Oculus Rift listing goes live on Microsoft Store, but it's already sold out

As promised, the Microsoft Store site has posted a listing to sell the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, but the $599 product has already sold out on the site.

This development is on par with the current availability of the Oculus Rift, as some people who pre-ordered the headset directly from the company in late January have still not received their units, and may not until later this summer. The Oculus Rift is also supposed to go on sale at 48 Best Buy retail store locations starting on May 7.

If you really want an Oculus Rift as soon as possible, and you have a lot more cash to spend, the Microsoft Store is still selling bundles of the headset combined with Windows 10 PCs from Dell, Asus and Alienware, with prices ranging from $1,499 to $2,699. Those bundles are currently available to order from the site and are expected to start shipping on May 31.
