A new report says that Microsoft plans to add new features to its Outlook email client for Windows 10 on PC and Mobile and may have feature parity with its iOS and Android by the end of 2016 or early 2017.

According to Neowin, Microsoft revealed its plans during a panel at its Ignite IT conference in Atlanta. It stated Outlook features that are included in the Android and iOS Outlook clients, such as @mentions, Focused Inbox and cloud attachments, will be added to the Windows 10 UWP app as well:

Microsoft told us that it is planning to keep a feature parity between iOS, Android, and Windows 10. Moving forward, new features should be launched at the same time across all three platforms. We'll see if the company can keep to this promise, but that's what we were told.

The article adds that Windows Insiders will get first crack at these new features for Outlook on Windows 10 before they are rolled out to all users.
