Pickit wants to replace clip art in your Office docs

Sweden-based image bank Pickit has formally announced its partnership with Microsoft. The company, which already has a Windows 10 app, will also offer Office users special add-ins to allow them to access images that can be inserted in their documents.

Pickit's press release stated:

It is estimated that 85% of all pictures used in presentations are stolen from the internet, meaning that the photographers who own the images receive neither recognition nor financial remuneration. Pickit solves this issue by aggregating from leading stock image providers, providing a platform for any photographer in the world to showcase their creative work by opening up what is perhaps the biggest photo market in the world - Microsoft Office and its 1.2 billion users, as well as Windows.

Pickit also plans to launch its Enterprise Image Bank, which will allow customers to create their own private or corporate image banks so they can share files between teams.
