Those updates dropped recently for Windows Phone and Windows 8.1. But a second update, version, came shortly after and introduced a few fixes for both Windows Phone and Windows 8.1, but is notable for giving the ability to show photos of movie cast members on Windows Phone.

Install the Plex Media Server on your entertainment PC or NAS and you're able to access your photos, music, television and movies anywhere with a Plex app. Plex is available on Windows Phone, Windows 8.1 and Xbox.

Plex is a fun service because it uses the metadata in your television and movie files to bring up beautiful artwork and other relevant information. Now you'll get to see trailers for your content. Which is just awesome.
