At EGX, the UK's biggest video games show, the folks behind ambitious sim racer, Project Cars, had some new content to announce. Known as the Aston Martin Track Expansion, it combines (as you may guess) some new Aston Martin cars with a new circuit environment on which to race them.
New cars are great fun but it's the circuit that sounds most interesting, as it's not just a race track. It was described to us as something of a playground. If you just want to hang out and go for a drive, that's just fine. As is testing your cars and setups, as is actually getting down to business and racing. There's a mixture of regular, flatter track as well as a banked oval that we saw in a brief clip.
Both the new circuit and new cars will integrate into the main career mode in Project Cars and as such players can expect new contracts to become available when in possession of the DLC pack.
A price wasn't given but a release window was. Very, very soon. As of the time of writing this post it should be out sometime next week. With Project Cars 2 not likely before 2017 we'll certainly welcome any additional life that Slightlymad Studios can provide to the one we have now. We're still waiting on the official trailer being released so we'll update when we have it.
