As part of Microsoft's Gamescom 2015 Xbox briefing, the company finally revealed that Quantum Break, the long awaited Xbox One action game from developer Remedy, finally has a firm release date of April 5. Quantum Break was first revealed way back in May 2013.

During the briefing, Microsoft showed off a new gameplay trailer for Quantum Break, which showed off its time warping gameplay, with players controlling the character of Jack Joyce as he is able to dramatically slow time, project shields and more.

Jack Joyce has the voice and likeness of actor Shawn Ashmore, best known as "Iceman" in the X-Men films. Ashmore joined Remedy's Sam Lake on stage at the Gamescom briefing, which revealed more of the cast, including Lost's Dominic Monaghan, Games of Thrones' Aidan Gillen, and Fringe's Lance Reddick. The game will still have live-action cut scenes in addition to the in-engine gameplay.
