Quantum Break was delayed until 2016 to help spread out release windows for major games on Xbox One. Creative director Sam Lake explained that Microsoft wanted to prevent its published titles from competing against one another for audiences. This was music to the ears of Remedy who could then pour more time and resources into perfecting Quantum Break and ensuring day one experiences will be top notch.
The game is slated for release on April 5, but you can check through our in-depth review in the meantime. It's good to see a publisher (as large as Microsoft) actually choosing to delay titles in favor of staggering releases. While that was the main reason behind the move, we'd much prefer a delayed and more polished release over a buggy launch.
