Ubisoft has finally started its open beta for Rainbox Six: Siege on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The open beta for the upcoming tactical shooter was to have started on Wednesday, but was postponed due to online matchmaking issues that were discovered just before it was set to begin.

In a updated statement on the game's official forums, Ubisoft said:

"We want to thank everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps us improve. For everyone who hasn't been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We are proud of what Rainbow Six Siege has to offer and we wish you the greatest experience possible."

The open beta gives gamers free access to three of the game's maps, along with several modes and 14 out of the game's 20 operators. The open beta ends on Sunday, November 29 and the full version of Rainbow Six: Siege will be released on December 1.
