Samsung is still in the business of making Windows-based laptops and tablets, and now a new rumor claims the company is developing a new 12-inch Windows 10 tablet that sounds like it could rival Microsoft's Surface Pro lineup.
The rumor comes from a China-based Weibo user who has leaked benchmark information on other mobile devices in the past. This person claims that the resolution of this 12-inch Samsung will either be 2560×1600 or 3840×2400. The source also has a few more hardware details to report, including that it will have some kind of 14-nm Intel Core M processor, 4GB of RAM and an S-Pen, something like the one found on Samsung's Galaxy Note 5.
This is a rumor that certainly is not outside of the realm of possibility. On the other hand, the accuracy of the source behind it has yet to be confirmed. With that in mind, we are taking a "wait and see" approach to this report. As always, any story like this should be treated with a lot of skepticism.
