Earlier this year, rumors of a 12-inch Samsung tablet powered by Windows 10 surfaced, and it looks like the manufacturer is one step closer to launching the device. The tablet, with model number SM-W700, has cleared the Wi-Fi Alliance's certification process.

According to the certification data, the tablet will run Windows 10 and will offer Wi-Fi ac connectivity. Rumors indicate a QHD or even a 4K display, along with Intel's Core M CPU and 4GB of RAM in a chassis that's just 6.8mm thick. The tablet has made its way to India for testing by Samsung's R&D division in the country, so it is likely that a launch is not too far away.
