Shazam (aka MusicID) Soon to be Available in Marketplace

It was first on a select few devices, then ripped and pirated for the masses, then rescinded under DMCA notices, but now MusicID has returned as Shazam and it is now legally available under Windows Marketplace for Mobile (although it hasn't showed up in our listings yet).

For a non-whopping (and oddly priced) $4.69 you can have unlimited music identification on your Windows phone, or use the free version which is limited to 5 IDs a month.  You are also treated to a full 7-day trial.  All of which we think is worth it.

(Anyone else notice their old MusicID doesn't work anymore or is it just us?)

See the official press release.

Shazam (aka MusicID) Soon to be Available in Marketplace

"Anyone else notice their old MusicID doesn't work anymore or is it just us?"

I used version 1.3.16 last night and it worked fine. I'll be using the free version because I rarely use the program. It's nice to have in those rare moments that I need to ID a song.

Yea it wasn't shazam but midomi music identifier is on there for 4.99 gotta shell that 30 cents out. i also sent out a sound clip to music id and it never returned anything to me but I got the bill, that was like 3 possibly 4 months ago....

Am I the only one STILL not seeing this in the marketplace? I haven't seen Midomi show up either.

I too am looking for the Midomi app for WinMo. What's happened here? While on the subject, whatever happened to the Shazam app for WinMo? That too has been vaporware.
