Sling Media ( has refreshed its apps for iOS, as well as launching a brand spanking new channel for Roku players, but the company has its sights set on Windows 8.1. Should you not be familiar with the service, they have a streaming device available for your TV. The device allows you to stream your TV/Cable, DVD and more over the Internet, allowing you watch TV remotely.

The company has a number of apps available on different stores, including Windows Phone to help you stream said media while on the go. Now the company has stated a Windows 8.1 SlingPlayer app is planned for December. If you've been eagerly awaiting the streaming service for your tablets, there's not long to go now.
