The Microsoft Store site in the US has cut the price on some of its Surface Pro 3 tablets once again. Four models of the 12-inch tablets are now priced at $150 lower than their usual cost from now until August 1. This sale comes after the UK's Curry PC World cut the price of both the Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 by 10%.
The US sale is for the four versions of the Surface Pro 3 with the best hardware and, thus, the highest price. It leaves out the $799 64GB version of the tablet with Intel's Core i3 processor, along with the $999 128GB version with the Core i5 chip.
- 256GB Intel Core i5 - $1,149 (normally $1,299)
- 128GB Intel Core i7 - $1,149 (normally $1,299)
- 256GB Intel Core i7 - $1,399 (normally $1,549)
- 512GB Intel Core i7 - $1,799 (normally $1,949)
Currently, people can purchase the Surface Pro 3 with Windows 8.1 pre-installed, but Microsoft says that the tablet will be sold with Windows 10 out of the box "soon".
