Sphero spends a little time with us at #CESLive!

We first learned of Sphero during last year’s //BUILD/ conference and the little robotic ball made a nice impression on us.  Fast forward to CES 2014 and we find that Sphero has grown tremendously.  Ian and Adam from Sphero spent a few minutes with us at #CESLive to show off the company's fantastic robotic products.

The robotic ball is controlled and programmed through your smartphone or tablet with a set of achievements that can be earned that will unlock performance features.  In addition to the original Sphero ball, the company showed off their latest product, the Sphero 2B which is slated for release later this year.

The Sphero 2B is a rolling tube with interchangeable wheels to handle different surface types.  Currently the Sphero control apps are only available for iOS and Android.  We already have two unofficial Sphero apps in the Windows Phone Store (Ball Control and Sphero Control) and hopefully an official Sphero app will find its way to the platform.

You can find out more about Sphero here at gosphero.com and catch all our CES coverage through the #CESLive portal.
