Electronic Arts will launch their highly anticipated shooter Star Wars Battlefront with 12 multiplayer maps when it launches for the Xbox One and other platforms November 17. That includes one map set on Sullust, which has been mentioned but never seen in the official Star Wars movies.
You may remember that in Return of the Jedi, Darth Vader mentions to the Emperor a rumor that the Rebel Fleet is gathering near Sullust. Well, in Star Wars Battlefront that planet is now imagined as a rather hostile location with "black sharp rocks, huge land shifts, red lava, turquoise lakes, and white smoke". The development team at DICE traveled to Iceland to get some references photos of the terrain for use on the Sullust map.
The 12 multiplayer maps don't include the ones that will be a part of the game's co-op themed Missions feature. You can also bet there will be additional maps released as part of DLC packs following the launch of Star Wars Battlefront this fall.
