Straw 2.2 now lets you Bing Image search directly for your personal polls

Straw is one of our favorite new apps and services because it fills a big hole in mobile: How do you easily create straw polls on the go? Straw lets you generate referendums for your friends (or even anonymously) to share with the world through SMS, Email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and even WhatsApp. If you want to keep the poll secret aka private polling, just submit it to the inner Straw network – others can see and vote on it, but they will never know who's started the poll.

Today, Straw version 2.2 of the app is now live for Windows Phone users (and iOS and Android) and it lets you use Bing Image search to spice up your survey. This feature is rather big deal because previously you had to search out images, download them and the re-upload them for the poll. For a single question, this is fine, but if you are asking for feedback on which car color you should buy, the task quickly became tedious.

With Straw 2.2 you can effortlessly search for photos using Bing Image search within the app, crop them and embed them in the poll without switching apps. This feature not only makes using Straw more fun than before, but it also helps make your poll look more attention-grabbing.

Besides viewing and creating polls on your phone, you can also use the web app at https://strw.pl to both create and view your polls. Accounts are created through Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and, of course, your Microsoft Account saving you time in registering.

Even better is that Straw is created by some Microsoft employees in their spare time making it smidge extra special for Windows Phone users. Trying to decide which movie to watch? What shirt to buy? Or which Xbox game you should get? Use Straw and crowdsource your answer.
