As promised, pre-orders have begun for businesses and organizations to purchase the big 55-inch and 84-inch Surface Hub touchscreen PCs. Microsoft is not taking the pre-orders directly; it is partnering with a number of resellers to sell the PCs, which will come with Windows 10 pre-installed. The 55-inch model is priced at $6,999, while the 84-inch version has a price tag of $19,999.
Shipments of the Surface Hub will begin sometime during September in 24 countries and territories, including the US. Microsoft is assembling the PCs in a factory located in Wilsonville, Oregon, partly because it could not find a factory overseas that could handle making a product with such a huge touchscreen.
