Microsoft is releasing its second firmware update this month for the Surface Pro 3 tablet, and this one is being offered mostly to fix a number of WiFi issues that many owners of the 12-inch tablet have mentioned since it was released a few weeks ago.
The official Surface update history page has this to say on today's firmware update in terms of features:
- Surface Integration (v.2.0.1038.0) further enhances system stability.
- Wireless Network Controller and Bluetooth (v. 15.68.3042.85) further improving WiFi connection and throughput scenarios.
Hopefully this update will solve many of the issues that some Surface Pro 3 owners have been dealing with. It's also likely that the tablet will continue to receive at least one firmware update each month for the next several months, as the other tablets of the Surface family have received.
