Microsoft is sending out invites to media outlets, including Windows Central, to attend a New York City event on Tuesday October 6 for "some exciting news about Windows 10 devices". It's likely that the company will officially reveal the Surface Pro 4, its new Lumia Windows 10 Mobile smartphones, and more during the event.
The event invite itself, as expected, offers no real hints as to the products that Microsoft will be introducing during the event. However, it'ss almost a certainty that the company will finally and officially reveal two new Windows 10 Mobile devices, which have the internal code names Talkman and Cityman, and will likely be called the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL when they are officially released.
In addition, the company will almost certainly reveal the long-awaited successor to the current Surface Pro 3 which has been out for over a year and has been a solid seller for Microsoft. Microsoft might also reveal the next version of their Microsoft Band fitness wearable device during the event. There are other rumors that the company might have a surprise hardware announcement during the press conference.
Windows Central will be at the event and will have first-hand reports on everything the company will reveal on October 6.
The company will also live stream the press conference on that date for everyone to check out: http://www.microsoft.com/october2015event
