Fhotoroom is a popular Windows Phone photo app that is part camera app, part photo editor and part photo sharing network. Fhotoroom is a distinctively well rounded Windows Phone photography app that recently reached a new milestone, passing the 2,000,000 download mark.

In it's first year, Fhotoroom reached the 1,000,000 download mark and just six months later, Fhotoroom has added another million downloads to the grand total.  Not too shabby at all.

Nokia flipped the switch in the U.S.. Market for the Nokia Music+ service today for all Nokia Lumia Windows Phones.

The subscription will run you $3.99 a month and offer premium features above and beyond what the Nokia Music app currently offers.  Features that includes unlimited music downloads for offline use, unlimited skips, lyric streaming, and a boost in sound quality.

To subscribe to Nokia Music+ just enter your Nokia Music app, enter the settings menu and you should see an upgrade option where you can start your monthly subscription.  Not sure if Nokia Music+ is your cup of tea?  Nokia did things right by offering a seven day trial period for the service to let you try things out before signing on the dotted line.  When you sign up for the trial, the expiration date will appear in your Nokia Music app's settings.  After which you can convert your trial subscription to a paid subscription.

Nokia Maps 2.9 for Windows Phone 8

We have heard much about Windows Phone 8 and the coming apps but there is a set of apps which we have only had glimpses of. Today I was able to get a good hands on with Nokia Maps 2.9 running on the Lumia 920.

Some interesting functionality is visible, notably and options to download maps and even update those maps within the app itself. I was very keen to see how things were progressing with maps read on to hear what I found out..

According to some of our readers, the Windows Phone Marketplace appears to experiencing some issues. We've confirmed ourselves that the UK and US Marketplaces are down, throwing a "c101a249" error when an attempt is made to download an app. As was the case with previous outages, we'll not get too worked up about potential maintenance.

Hopefully this downtime will be minimal. Have you experienced any issues today? Let us know in the comments.

Update: Xbox LIVE and Zune are also down for a lot of users, so evidently the two are connected

Thanks, revamp, for the heads up!

Every now and then we feature apps whose prices are going down for a small promotional period.  Obviously, in general people seem to like free stuff. But how much?

Well, I have an app called FFFFound in the Windows Phone Marketplace, which has been mentioned here on WPCentral a few times.  It's has quite a niche target market, and because of that doesn't have many users.  So before going into numbers, you need to realize that this is an app that not too many people actually want or need.  BUT for the few who are looking for something like this, they love it.  Because the users who have reviewed it have made it quite clear that they love the design, I wanted to get it into more hands.

As if to make a permanent tribute to Monday's Nokia-Deadmau5 event, a site has gone up with three videos: 'Performance', 'VNR' and 'Sizzle', all detailing the huge celebration of the Nokia Lumia 800. Besides that, you can download all three videos, with HD quality in PAL or NTSC. Heck, they even have an MP4 version available if you want to put it on a mobile device--you know, to show your friends on the go. In addition there are some super high res Getty images completely free and which really, really show detail of the party.

Finally, a recap of the event is provided with details on how it was pulled off:

"Millbank was plunged into darkness with the iconic Millbank Tower acting as the canvas for a never-before-seen spectacular. Each of the 120 metre high building’s 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed 300 metres away on the other side of the river, beamed 4D images onto the structure, making it seem like huge butterflies were flying across the London skyline and that the tower was spinning around. Billed as the “future of live events” the spectacular show was accompanied by music from super producer deadmau5, who created exclusive remixes for the performance – adding the 4th dimension, and the event was broadcast live online to http://www.Facebook.com/Nokia.uk"

Very cool stuff and certainly worth the time to peruse. See more at http://www.epklink.com/nokialumialive/
