A few weeks ago, a bunch of Xbox Windows Phone games (mostly Nokia collection titles) went on sale at once. Nokia, who seems to have organized the sale, also announced that several more games would be discounted in early December.

Those titles (and a few more) are now on sale. We’ve got Contre Jour, Flight Control Rocket, Spy Mouse, Storm in a Teacup, Vampire Rush, and Zuma’s Revenge are all on sale for 99 cents. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, which regularly sells for $4.99, has been marked down to $2.99. All seven games come from Electronic Arts and/or its subsidiaries Chillingo and PopCap.

Save on Flight Control Rocket, An Alien with a Magnet, and Avirall Time Suite this week with Microsoft's Red Stripe Deal.

With the appearance of Asphalt 8 as a non-Xbox title, some Windows Phone Xbox fans remain in shock. What better way to cure your ills than with an Xbox game that’s never gone on sale before? That’s exactly what we get with this week’s Xbox Red Stripe Deal: Flight Control Rocket from Electronic Arts. Not bad!

The non-Xbox Red Stripe Deals include indie game An Alien with a Magnet from Rejected Games and stopwatch/productivity app Avirall Time Suite from Pilcrow App Dev. Both cost 99 cents this week. Head past the break for descriptions and Store links!

Windows Phone 7 users must be feeling a bit left out of the Xbox gaming fun lately. We spent the majority of last week celebrating the release of Halo: Spartan Assault and publishing detailed strategy guides for Order & Chaos Online, both excellent Windows Phone 8 games. But what are the Microsoft mobile users who haven’t upgraded to Windows Phone 8 yet going to play?

Former Nokia exclusives, of course! Less than two weeks ago, Chillingo’s pretty decent Picnic Wars became available to all brands of Windows Phone. And just a few days ago, two more games dropped their exclusivity: Flight Control Rocket and Blobster. If you liked the first Flight Control, you’re going to love FC Rocket! Oh, and Blobster. Yayyyy.

Read on for details on both games and an updated list of current and former Nokia Collection exclusives!

The original Flight Control from Australian developer Firemint created the line drawing genre. It plays to smartphones’ strengths, allowing players to craft flight paths for incoming aircraft by drawing smooth lines on the touch screen. But the gameplay boils down to endless score runs, limiting its appeal to goal-oriented gamers.

Thankfully Firemint and EA took that consideration to heart when developing their sequel Flight Control Rocket (aka FC Rocket). It improves on the original game in pretty much every way, although the new focus on grinding goes a little too far. Still, FC Rocket is my pick for the most addictive Nokia exclusive Xbox Windows Phone game yet.

Nokia has managed to bring across and release another game for Windows Phone, Flight Control Rocket. Located in the Nokia Collection for Lumia owners, FC Rocket is the next step up from Firemint's Flight Control. It's the classic management experience with a Sci-Fi twist and unique pace that will provide enough individuality for players not to get instantaneously bored through repetition, particularly if you've played the classic Flight Control title.
