Following on the heels of T-Mobile, AT&T has just announced that the Lumia 635 is available starting Friday, July 25 as a prepaid GoPhone. Likewise, starting Friday, August 8, customers can also get the Nokia Lumia 635 online or in AT&T stores "with black and orange back covers in the box for $139.99 at no annual commitment pricing."

The Lumia 635 features a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and ClearBlack technology for vibrant colors. In addition, it has a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 5 MP camera, 8 GB internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB with micro SD) and 512 MB of RAM.

AT&T's pre-paid GoPhone customers are in for a nice little treat: their monthly data allotments are going up, but their monthly cost is staying the same. Starting April 25th, GoPhone's 2GB $60-a-month plan will be bumped up to 2.5GB, while the $40-for-250MB plan will double to 500MB. Additionally, those on the larger and more expensive plan will gain mobile Wi-Fi hotspot support at no additional charge. And if you happen to be wanting to buy your smartphone from Wal-Mart, GoPhone shoppers there will have the option of a $45 monthly 1GB plan.

The Nokia Lumia 520 has been one of the most important phones for Microsoft and Nokia. One estimate by AdDuplex from last month put the Lumia 520 at 33% share of all Windows Phone 8 devices. Not bad when you consider how that phone has only been available for a few months.

Coming in at $99 on AT&T as a pre-paid GoPhone is one heck of a deal. It’s even more of a deal when it’s just $69.99 on Amazon and yes, it’s Prime (that means free shipping for those with Prime accounts). We want to be clear: that’s $69.99 for a no-strings attached Lumia 520. You can throw in any AT&T SIM and get service without a contract, just pay as you go. Already have an AT&T account? You can throw in your existing SIM and start using the Lumia 520 without extending your contract.

If you're in the market for a Windows Phone but don't really want to invest much or are just looking for a second device, the Nokia Lumia 520 is a very appealing option. And the latest sale price has the Lumia 520 look all the more attractive.

Listed as an AT&T GoPhone (pre-paid phone) the Lumia 520 is on sale over at Fry's for only $79.99.  This latest deal alert comes on the heels of Tiger Direct offering the Lumia 520 for $89.99 which isn't too shabby in it's own right.

Last week, AT&T also launched another Windows Phone, besides the much anticipated Lumia 1020—the Lumia 520. Sure, entry level devices aren’t nearly as exciting as technology busting ones, but the Lumia 520 is AT&T’s first GoPhone (month-to-month) and goes for $99 sans contract.

We picked one up last night at our local Microsoft Store because hey, $99. And yes, you can throw in your existing AT&T SIM card and it will work just fine, no need to sign up for any plans or sign anything. You just pay the $99 (plus tax) and walk out the door with a fully functional Windows Phone.

The Lumia 520 has been making waves all over the globe. It’s doing incredibly well in most markets you can grab it. In fact according to some statistics it is the most popular Windows Phone.

Here in the United States we have T-Mobile carrying a variant called the Lumia 521. Not to be outdone, you can now get the Lumia 520 as a prepaid phone on AT&T’s GoPhone.

We heard rumblings that AT&T was set to launch the low-cost but nicely featured Nokia Lumia 520 (read our full review here), though we didn’t see them launching it on their pre-paid GoPhone system. Indeed the device will launch this Friday, July 26th for the super low $99 with GoPhone plans starting at $25 for basic access and up to $60 with 2GB of 4G data.

Interestingly, this is exactly what a lot of folks were hoping Nokia and AT&T would do: launch the well-received Lumia 520 on the lucrative, but Android-dominated, pre-paid system. We saw just yesterday the Lumia 521 headed to MetroPCS and now with the Lumia 520 on AT&T, there’s a good chance the 52x may just explode in numbers in the coming weeks.

The cost for the 4” WVGA device is $99, which is the ideal price-point for such a device as it keeps what is essentially a fully capable smartphone within reach for a lot of consumers. The Lumia 520 on AT&T also supports “4G” but not evidently 4G LTE, though once again considering who this is geared towards, that’s not a bad trade off.
