German developer Handy Games recently broke onto the Xbox One scene with a big-screen port of its popular Windows Phone and tablet title Super Party Sports: Football. Although it has Football in the name, SPS is actually a soccer-themed physics puzzle game. Players will take on 100 stages as they attempt to literally destroy opposing teams and score goals. SPS Football looks great for a mobile port, but does it play well on console? Read our detailed review to find out!

German developer Handy Games has brought several solid games to Windows Phone, including Aces of the Luftwaffe, SPS Football, and 1941: Frozen Front. Even though most of those titles are free to play, they all look and play very nice. They also have a game called Stage Dive Legends that stars a rock-and-roll playing Confederate soldier, for some reason.

We now have another Handy Games title to look forward to, as the developer has informed us that Devils & Demons will soon be coming to Windows Phone. Devils & Demons is a fantasy-themed strategy role-playing game with highly detailed character art. And to celebrate the game's impending release, all in-app purchases in 1941: Frozen Front (also a strategy game) are half off until the end of the week.

There are basically two German developers we can count on to make great Windows Phone games: Flare Games (makers of Royal Revolt 2) and Handy Games. The latter entered the scene with Epic Battle Dude and Aces of the Luftwaffe, two fine free to play games.

This year, Handy Games finally has more Windows Phone games in store for us. A short while ago they released 1941: Frozen Front, a serious turn-based strategy game. We interviewed them about it at Casual Connect a while back. Today Handy follows up with SPS: Football, a very pretty and fun 2D soccer/football game. Both games are free, 512 MB RAM-compatible, and a whole lot of fun. Don't miss our impressions and hands-on videos!

Back at Casual Connect in August, we interviewed German developer Handy Games about some of their upcoming Windows Phone and Windows 8 titles: 1941: Frozen Front and Townsmen. Those two fine-looking titles are still in development, but the game maker has something else to tide us over right now.

Handy Games has just updated both mobile Windows versions of their 2D shoot-em-up Aces of the Luftwaffe, right alongside their Android counterpart. One of our favorite shmups on Windows Phone 8, Aces of the Luftwaffe is free to play. This update adds a bunch of new content that will keep shooting game fans busy for hours.

Next up in our Casual Connect USA gaming coverage are two titles from an established Windows Phone developer. Earlier this year, Handy Games (one of Germany’s largest mobile game studios) jumped onto our platform with two impressive Windows Phone 8 titles: Epic Battle Dude – a “one-dimensional“ casual RPG and Aces of Luftwaffe – a vertically-scrolling shoot-em-up. Both are great games (especially Aces) and both are free to play.

So what does the studio have in store for us next? Quite a lot, it turns out. Christopher Kassulke, CEO and owner of Handy Games revealed to us the next two games in the pipeline for Windows Phone 8: 1941: Frozen Front and Townsmen. We were in town for a casual games conference, but both games looked deeper and more fully featured than the average casual title. Get the full scoop in our video after the break!

Aces of the Luftwaffe is a relatively new game for Windows Phone 8 and is quickly becoming one of our favorites. Aces is an arcade styled game with an RPG touch.

To say Aces of the Luftwaffe is a fast paced game may be an understatement.  If you blink you'll be over run with enemy planes.  Game play is challenging enough to avoid getting stale and graphics/animations are just ducky. If you're an arcade game junky or just looking for a fun game to pass the time with, Aces of the Luftwaffe is definitely worth checking out.

Epic Battle Dude is an action packed Windows Phone 8 game where you play the role of a king who has to battle a variety of monsters that have invaded your land and kidnapped your queen.

Epic Battle Dude has had decent success over on the Android and iOS platforms and we can see why. The game has bold graphics, simple but addictive game play, fifty levels of play and fantastic sound effects. It even has a unique approach to adjusting the volume in the game's settings.

Epic Battle Dude is quickly becoming our favorite new game and with it being free, dude, you've gotta give it a try.
