The Word Flow keyboard has long stood as a standout feature of Windows Phone 8.1 and now Windows 10 Mobile. Microsoft is now set on bringing that feature too to competing platforms starting first with the iPhone. A new Insider email is soliciting participants to begin testing the keyboard. Even crazier is that Android is likely next in line.

Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella gave a hearty talk about the company's current and future plans at the recent Salesforce Dreamforce conference.

One humorous segment during his presentation is a useful demonstration of where the company is going. Specifically, Nadella showed what he calls an 'iPhone Pro', which is just a regular iPhone that happens to have all of Microsoft's software loaded on it. As it turns out, there are a lot of Microsoft apps much to the amusement of the audience.

With both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C announced already, just how good is Apple's iOS 7? We've been using it for a short while and we'll admit that it doesn't feel half bad, but Pfeiffer Consulting has taken a rather in-depth look at how Apple's new OS ranks against Windows Phone 8, BlackBerry 10 and Google's Android (note the firm used Samsung's implementation of Android over the stock version).

A new test developed shows Apple far ahead of Android and Windows Phone for reduced display latency

When it comes to smartphones, screen response time is one of those key features that helps ensure a great user experience. Some of you may recall the use of resistive touch panels on smartphones years ago and how slow those were to respond to touch. Capacitive displays are certainly much quicker, and it’s the reason why touch-typing is so common today, having been accepted by the masses.

The question for one company though is how to measure that display latency i.e. the time it takes for the system to detect and register a touch, thereby launching an app. App streaming company Agawi has come up with a solution called TouchMarks to make accurate and quantifiable measurements in this area and the Lumia 928, while not the worst, is far behind Apple.

Apple today unveiled the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, the latter being a more affordable option for consumers. Known for rather expensive price tags, Apple is attempting to tackle the low-end of the smartphone market with the new iPhone 5C. As well as being cheaper than the high-end iPhone, consumers will also have numerous colours to choose from.

Unfortunately, these choices appeared to be vaguely familiar. Nokia UK took to Twitter today to unleash the above image, poking fun at Apple for not only injecting some colour into the iPhone product line, but utilising the similiar colours. As the Finish manufacturer rightfully pointed out: "Imitation is the best form of flattery."
