The Nokia Lumia 925 is set to become T-Mobile’s flagship Windows Phone 8 device very soon. In fact, all signs point to July 17 as the device’s American release date. That’s great news for T-Mobile customers who require a little more hardware power than the value-priced Lumia 521 can provide.

Nokia and T-Mobile know just how much potential the Lumia 925 has to be a hit on this side of the ocean, and so they’re engaging in an advertising blitz in several popular magazines. We’ve spotted a two-page spread in the latest Rolling Stone as well as two separate advertisements in the July issue of Wired (one shown above).

To top it off, the QR code in the Rolling Stone ad leads to Nokia’s web portal for the Lumia 925. T-Mobile customers will want to head there and sign up to be notified by email when the phone shows up in stores. The page also features a number of new images and at least one new video that shows off the 925 camera’s low light abilities. Check the video and print ads out after the break!

While the World Premier of "The Man of Steel" was earlier this week, many will be heading to see the latest Superman installment this weekend. If you need to hone up on your Superman knowledge the Superman Almanac for your Windows Phone that might come in handy.

For those with Lumia Windows Phones you have the exclusive Man of Steel app from Nokia that not only highlights the movie but also touches on the history behind Superman.  The Superman Almanac is from the developers of the Star Wars and Star Trek Almanacs and approaches things from more of a reference point of view.

The app has a ton of information on the Superman universe from full episodes from the 1940's animated series to biographies on your favorite characters. The Superman Almanac is a very inviting Windows Phone reference app.

Last night in the heart of New York City, Nokia co-sponsored the world-premiere of Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”. We, along with the usual Manhattan glitterati, we lucky enough to attend the red-carpet gala on a rain-soaked Monday.

Yeah, this job has its privileges sometimes, we’ll admit it.

Nokia is one of many companies that have a sponsorship deal with the movie, though they are cited as the largest global partner. Such deals are used to off-set the high costs of the film, associated with production and later promotion of the summer hit, and it helps to have someone else help pick up the bill. In exchange, those companies can have their products featured in the film—sometimes subtle, other times not.

Nokia has unveiled that pre-orders for the new Lumia 925 will kick off in China on June 17th, according to the official product page. Consumers will be able to pre-order the Windows Phone on JD.com. As previous rumours suggested, those who get in there first will also receive the limited edition Superman branded wireless charging pack, which includes the Superman Fatboy wireless charging pillow and the Man of Steel cover.

Nokia is running an exciting contest in the US. Those who participate could win the golden prize and be flown to New York City for the world premiere of Man of Steel (June 10th), the new Superman movie. So what's the contest all about? Every two weeks, Nokia has been prompting fans and followers to submit photos based on certain themes. This time round it's "Heroes", based on Memorial Day and -- of course -- the Man of Steel movie.
