This week we take an in-depth look at Monopoly Millionaire from Nokia and Electronic Arts. Millionaire enjoys the distinction of being the first Nokia-published Xbox game to require Windows Phone 8 (Mass Effect: Inflitrator is the second). It also requires 1 GB of RAM for some reason, which stinks for a less than hardware intensive game. But people with the hardware that can run Millionaire will find a pretty impressive take on the ancient game of Monopoly.

Playing it honors our ancestors or something!

Spring break is in full swing for most folks in the US and Canada. The perfect time to get some sun, travel, and just relax. And there just so happens to be a sale on EA game titles for when you’re pool side and need to zone out with some Zombie or something. The sale will go on for one week and games are either at a 33% or 40% discount from their regular prices. Full list after the break.

Those hoping for an exciting Deal of the Week will likely be disappointed this time out. The latest sale is a repeat: Monopoly from Electronic Arts. It’s on sale for $2.99, down from an overpriced $4.99.

What can you say about Monopoly? Our review praises its faithfulness to the original board game and support of customizing the game rules. The lack of online multiplayer keeps the game from being all that it could be, but that’s mobile Xbox Live for you. Thankfully the game does support local multiplayer, which could be fun if you’re stuck somewhere with nothing to do. Easy Achievements (only one of which is luck based) might provide an incentive to buy as well.

Monopoly is on sale for $2.99 for one week only. Grab it here on the Marketplace.

A couple of weeks ago, Puzzle Quest 2 became the first mobile Xbox Live title to go on sale two different times. Now Monopoly breaks new ground – or is that old? – as the first game to be an official Deal of the Week twice. It’s going on sale for $2.99 once again.

The Windows Phone version of the classic board game/capitalist propaganda tool Monopoly comes from Electronic Arts.  Our Monopoly review praises its faithfulness to the original board game and support of customizing the game rules. We would have liked to see online multiplayer, but it does at least support local multiplayer. The Deal of the Week price should make offline-only Monopoly a lot more palatable. The game was also updated to support Mango Fast App Switching recently, but NoDo owners can still buy it too.

Monopoly goes on sale Wednesday, November 2 for one week only. It will cost $2.99 (the price it always should have been), and there is a free trial. Grab it here on the Marketplace. And don't forget, Kinectimals officially comes out tomorrow too.

It’s time for another Xbox Live Deal of the Week! Get ready to roll around the town with Uncle Pennybags, because this week’s sale title is Monopoly, down from $4.99 to the sale price of $2.99.

The Windows Phone 7 version of Monopoly was developed by Babaroga Interactive (makers of Zombies!!!) and published by Electronic Arts.  Our Monopoly review praises its faithfulness to the original board game and support of customizing the game rules. We would have liked to see online multiplayer, but it does at least support local multiplayer. The Deal of the Week price should make offline-only Monopoly a lot more palatable. This also raises hopes that we may see other Electronic Arts titles go on sale eventually – I’m looking at you, Sims 3!

Monopoly goes on sale sometimes after midnight tonight, and the sale lasts for one week. It will cost $2.99, and there is a free trial. Grab it here on the Marketplace.
