The Nokia Lumia 1520 is coming. It’s the next flagship Windows Phone device that you’ll be able to use. Like the Lumia 1020 before, it has an incredible camera that you’ll soon be using. How incredible? Watch this music video filmed on the Lumia 1520 and you’ll not only see how incredible the image quality is, but you’ll also be pretty impressed with the audio recording capabilities.

Children In Need is the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) charity for the UK. Kicking off in 1980, the charity has raised more than £600 million for disabled children and young people. The highlight of each year is a "telethon" aired on BBC One with celebrities and well-known faces.

Along with the telethon and other activities, an official Children In Need single is also selected. This year it's Ellie Goulding's turn with How Long Will I Love You (originally performed by The Waterboys). Why is this news? The official music video is shot entirely with a Nokia Lumia 1020.

One way to spend marketing dollars is to place your product as nonchalantly as possible into television, music videos, movies and anything else you can think of. You might take a somewhat famous YouTuber (is that a word?), give them a Nokia Lumia 1020, and have them make a video. You can also pay millions of dollars and have your products appear in a summer blockbuster. But does any of that really compare to having Katy Perry use your phone in a music video? Let’s find out.

The Nokia Lumia 925 has been featured in the latest music video from Enrique Iglesias, "Turn The Night Up." The Windows Phone first appears at the 00:18 marker and can be spotted throughout the rather interesting video, including use of the default camera app.

Nokia has been aggressive when it comes to product placement and Lumia marketing in the media. The Man of Steel movie is a perfect example of this. It's positive to see the manufacturer getting its latest flagships included.

It's another music video, another Lumia Windows Phone and another product placement. Oh come on, we know you love these feel good articles! This time we're visiting Kelly Clarkson and her new single, "People Like Us." The yellow Lumia 920 has been utilised in the video, but what is it all about? Honestly, I have no idea. It's late so the brain is shutting down for the evening, but I do know Clarkson likes her BMW Z4.

It's at 0:22 in the latest pop video from Jennifer Lopez where we see a shiny new Lumia 920, which sports a bold Windows Phone styled SMS conversation between herself and fellow artist Pitbull. The song is called "Live It Up" and comes with a rather bouncy video. We've previously covered Windows Phones being used in music videos, with the HTC TITAN in Fun.'s "We Are Young" being the most notable example.

The Lumia 920 has a super camera, that much is already known. We've recorded some sample footage of a gig in full action to demonstrate the power of the Windows Phone, particularly in low-light environments. Now a band in Denmark has been filmed using a Lumia 920. The song being performed is called "Reach For The Sky," but the band itself is nameless for the time being.

We've seen plenty of impressive video footage captured by the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone and this time we see it used to make a music video.

Windows Phone Central reader Soundtweaker shared this video when commenting on the Fan Video on the Lumia 920 we posted earlier. Soundtweaker not only used the Lumia 920 to shoot the video but those magnetic lens attachments were used for the fish-eyed portions of the video.

Granted the movie out takes from Frogs wasn't shot with the Lumia 920 but the portions shot came out great. The wide angle lens attactment preformed well and Illogistical Resource Department's "The Attack of the Frogs" is a nice example of what the Nokia Lumia 920 is capable of.

Update: And oddly enough the video has be retro-edited to remove the Lumia 920. We're not sure why but you can see the original version here and the edited one below. Thanks, nikhilr51.

The Lumia 920 in yellow has been featured in a Ke$ha music video. The song Die Young shows off the Lumia 920 for a few seconds with a male making use of call functionality, while the artist herself reads an SMS.

We really don't have any idea who Flo Rida is nor how popular they may be but it's still nice to see some Windows Phone product placement.

Eagle-eyed reader Benjamin C. caught the Nokia Lumia 710 being briefly shown around the one-minute mark in the video. You can clearly see the Nokia branding as the user hammers out a Tweet using the official Twitter app for Windows Phone.  Sure, it's not a game changer but we suppose these little nuggets of pop-culture visibility help the image of Windows Phone.

Update: Evidently, Flo Rida is very popular and we're very lame for not knowing that. Whatevs, punk rock for life!

Video after the break, if you dare.

MTV Video features Windows Phone

Yet another cameo by a Windows Phone has surfaced. This time in a MTV Video Premiere from the music video "We Are Young" by the group fun.

Around the 0:29 mark you'll see a bar patron texting on her Windows Phone (an HTC Titan I believe). Then in a fit of rage she hurls the phone into the air and a slow motion bar fight/food fight ensues.  We're not sure if a stunt double was used in shooting this video.

If I'm not mistaken, there's also a Fruit Ninja reference around the 1:50 mark.

Thanks, Will, for the tip!

Shooting an entire video on a Windows Phone always seems like an interesting challenge and we like seeing the results. For one, it demonstrates the phone/camera capability and number two, it makes us wonder how good can we make our videos.

Microsoft is evidently starting a "Me series" which is described as "a collection of short film essays exploring a day in the life of creative Windows Phone users." The first one, as seen above, is filmed by Todd Cole an "acclaimed fashion photographer" who was working on the video for Kurt Vile's song "Baby's Arms" using Windows Phone. From the video description:

"Todd Cole, acclaimed fashion photographer and music video/commercial director, is known for his work with such diverse talents as Charlotte Gainsbourg and No Age to Rodarte and Commes Des Garcons. This video profile takes a look behind the scenes in his making of Kurt Vile's "Baby's Arms" music video. The video was shot exclusively using the Windows Phone camera in Cole's hometown of Los Angeles and explores the love story between a young couple living their everyday lives in East LA."

Okay, fair enough, he has some fancy editing software, professional lighting and a steady-cam setup in addition to his Windows Phone, but all else being equal, it's pretty cool. Plus the quality of the video,  when you steady the phone, is pretty top notch and gets you thinkin', no?

Update: Full video of 'Baby's Arms' after the break.

Confession: We have no idea who Havana Brown is, mostly because we're old and listen to punk. Still, that doesn't mean we can't be a little excited to see some obvious but schweet product placement, namely our prized Windows Phone, in a video by Ms. Brown who we're told is an "Australian DJ".

Her new video, 'We Run the Night' features a unidentified Windows Phone at the beginning for some serious screen time and a focus on Xbox LIVE, some texting and Facebook action. Skip to 0:13 and go up through 0:32 for the main scene. Stay for the dance song, if that's your thing (2nd confession: we love cheesy dance music). Anyways, this kind of exposure is always good to see.

Thanks, Danny A., for the heads up!
