Nokia has been pushing out a few backend updates for their Windows Phone 8 Lumias. The latest two come today with another one happening earlier in the week.

Unfortunately, we cannot tell you what has changed, as the updates have no change log. Neither can we share with you the direct store links, since these are system apps. But here are the new version numbers...

We know that the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone captures impressive night photos. The optically stabilized camera with BSI sensor sheds light on some of the darkest scenes.

But how does it compare with a stand alone digital camera? Windows Phone Central Reader, Keng Chang, took the issue to task and compared his Canon 1DX DSLR to the Lumia 920. The results aren't all that surprising but does speak highly of the Lumia 920's low light performance.

The Lumia 920 is now appearing in Telstra stores, according to a number of consumers who have attempted to pick one up. Unfortunately, like its online store, Telstra brick and mortars are struggling to meet demand with the limited stock passed along by Nokia. While a familiar story across the board in multiple markets, it does make one consider why it hasn't been resolved yet.

The Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 Windows Phones will be available in Singapore on December 8th, according to Hardware Zone. Priced at $899 and $699 respectively, the Nokia hardware will be stocked by all three operators - M1, SingTel and StarHub. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for the flagship Windows Phone to sell out due to stock shortages.

The Lumia 920 is being picked up for just £399 (excluding £10 top-up) at EE stores on PAYG (Pay As You Go), according to a thread on the Hot UK Deals website. The Nokia Windows Phone is bundled with a wireless charging plate and while being locked to EE's realm of magic, it's at least £100 cheaper than purchasing the device unlocked at retailers.

There are some interesting discussions going in our forums on the T-Mobile Lumia 810 (see our unboxing), which shows the phone is gaining some ground with customers.

First up is getting the phone carrier-unlocked. Sure, you may have to renew that contract (if not buying full price) but for those of you who want that freedom to take your phone anywhere, T-Mobile is evidently playing fair...

The Swedish wireless retailer Phone House is offering the Nokia Lumia 920 on all the major wireless providers in Sweden. Prices vary depending on the carrier and wireless packages.

The Lumia 920 is available on Three, Telia, Tele2, Telenor and Halebop carriers. If you prefer to purchase the Lumia 920 unlocked without a contract, the price is 5790 svenska kronor.

Color choices seem to be limited in stock on line and extremely limited in stores. You can find all carrier options here at the Phone House.

Up in Canada there has been some confusion around the status of the Nokia Lumia 920 on Rogers. It appears that early shipments of the phone were SIM unlocked and what’s more, they had the AWS 1700 band on board allowing it to work on WIND and T-Mobile US. That prospect at least offered some hope to those on those carriers without the 920 (aka most of them).

We’ve since verified that the later shipments of the 920 on Rogers are not SIM unlocked though you could pay the Canadian carrier $50 to do so (assuming you bought it under contract). As terrible as that is it’s still better than AT&T, which to our knowledge has not given out any unlock codes for 920 users.

T-Mobile is currently running a Cyber Monday special that could land you a HTC 8X or Nokia Lumia 810 Windows Phone for free.  The deal is for new purchases and requires a two year contract with T-Mobile.

The deal on the 8X includes a $350 instant discount, a $149.99 web only discount and a $100 rebate.  To qualify for the rebate you'll need to sign up for either T-Mobile's Classic Talk + Text + Web plan or Classic Talk with web service of at least $20 per month.  Once you meet all the terms, just fill out the rebate form and mail it in.

The Cyber Monday deal on the Lumia 810 is a little more straight forward with $400 discount and $149.99 web only discount that drops the price to zero, zilch, nadda.  You do have to sign the two year contract and sign up for one of T-Mobile's Classic plans.

The fine print reads that these are web only offers and may not be available at retail stores.  You can find all the details here at T-Mobile.

Thanks, everyone, for the tip!

There are few things we've learned lately about our readers: One, they love shooting concert clips with the Nokia Lumia 920 and Two, they love Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Frankly, we don't blame you for either...the 920 is amazing for video and Trans, well they rock the house.

Such is the case from this video tipped to us by the mysterious 'Q'. We happen to like this video a lot because of the aforementioned band but also because it's shot well--no jumping, no unnecessary shaking. Once again, the Lumia 920 does a fantastic job capturing the wide dynamics of the lights and sound (although you can see the image sensor freak out a few times with the ultra-blue lights).

Yesterday we brought you some in depth information of what will be coming in the Windows Phone 7.8 update, expected to appear in China in a few weeks (presumably with the launch of the Nokia Lumia 510).  New features such as a revamped Tile design, new Tile sizes and dynamic Lockscreen wallpaper (Bing) were revealed including the current build number.

Now a new video, presumably from Winp.cn, shows the current build of Windows Phone 7.8 (8858) in action. Actually, it’s less action and more of a nice, soothing stroll on some of the more superficial changes coming in the OS update. The new tiles are shown off and we even see the Bing lockscreen wallpaper working (we’re hoping that third-party apps can take advantage of it too like in Windows Phone 8).

The latest crop of Windows Phones, the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X, bring together some of the latest technology with their cameras. Windows Phone cameras have progressed nicely through the years. We've seen new sensor technology to improve low-light performance, better software enhancements, and new stabilization mechanics come into play.

While the Nokia Lumia 920's Pureview camera has garnered a good bit of the Windows Phone 8 spotlight, the HTC 8X's camera has been lurking in the shadows. The 8X has a capable camera within its own right but how does it compare to the Lumia 920's heavy weight camera?

Nokia has yet to release a report detailing Lumia 920 sales, and until that time is upon us we can only speculate and estimate what said numbers will actually be. There's much anticipation to see whether Nokia has received such high levels of demand that the well established manufacturer simply cannot build enough Lumia 920s to throw at retailers and carriers, or we're simply seeing low levels of stock being produced at launch.

According to a report over at Yahoo China, pre-ordered (and purchased) Lumia 920 numbers have exceeded 2.5 million, slightly less than the total number of Lumia Windows Phones sold in the last quarter combined. If this is accurate, we are seeing massive demand for not only Nokia's flagship handset, but Windows Phone 8 as well.

We'll remain skeptical and believe that simply not enough stock is available, but there's always the possibility...
