If you like Feedly, there’s a great third-party app for Windows Phone called Phonly. It has just received an update today. One notable new feature in version 1.2.4.0 is the option that lets you download full articles without opening Internet Explorer or mobilizer. This could be great if you read a lot of feeds that only provide excerpts in RSS readers.

Phonly adds battery-saver theme in latest update

Phonly, a great third-party Feedly app for Windows Phone 8 has just been updated. Bug fixes are to be expected, but there’s one new feature for Phonly Pro users. Version 1.2.3.0 adds a battery-saver theme for the Pro users who paid $1.99. Phonly Pro users also have an ad-free experience.

The Windows Phone community is a pretty incredible place. Third party developers have constantly stepped up to the plate when an official app doesn’t exist on the platform or the current app is lackluster. Case in point, Phonly is an excellent app for users who want to get Feedly on Windows Phone. Solid performance meets a gorgeous UI in Phonly. The app also just received an update, so let’s dive into what’s new with it.

Phonly is a gorgeous Feedly client for Windows Phone, which was released to the store last month. The app also sports lockscreen integration, InstaPaper and Pocket support. While the app has only been out for a short while, already we're looking at a rather nice update, bumping the app to version 1.2. If you use the Feedly service, we strongly urge you to check out Phonly, and best of all it's free to download. So, what's new in 1.2?

Windows Phone has been out for nearly three years, but there are still a handful of apps and services missing in the Store, at least in official form.
